An imaginary friend is waiting for you outside the centre

American artist Kaï invites you to visit until 1 June

No doubt you’ve noticed these large golden sculptures in bronze and steel on the pavement in front of Confédération Centre? They are the work of American artist Kaï, whose style blends street art and pop culture, drawing inspiration from cartoons and childhood imagery. The recurring character in his work is the round-headed ‘imaginary friend’, whom the artist uses to convey messages and emotions.

Two works to ponder until 1 June

The first sculpture, of which there are only three in the world, is entitled ‘Love VS Money’ and shows a little character whose feelings of love would make him fly away if money didn’t bring him back to more down-to-earth considerations. A few metres away, another even more monumental creation, over seven metres wide, takes pride of place. ‘The struggle’ once again features Kaï’s favourite figure, torn between the forces of good and evil.

Creativity in its original form

With this special exhibition, open to all and organised in collaboration with the Bel-Air Fine Art gallery, Confédération Centre is once again demonstrating that it is not just a showcase for trends, but also a window on all contemporary artistic expression. You can see Kaï’s work exhibited in other galleries in the Bel-Air Fine Art network in Europe, including Paris, Courchevel and Geneva.
