Spice up your Halloween!

What if we celebrated Halloween in Mexico this year?

Forget pumpkins, cobwebs, and vampires… and discover festivities that will, this year, offer a real change from the traditional Halloween celebration. Starting at the end of October, Confédération Centre will go Mexican, coming together to shiver and celebrate the Day of the Dead, Latino and caliente style! In a “Dia de los Muertos” setting, kids and adults alike can join in a range of tasty and creative activities on October 22, 25, and 31!

Your niños, the center of attention

So they can enjoy a good scare, we’ve planned special activities just for kids on Wednesday, October 22 and Saturday, October 25. In supervised creative workshops, they’ll make masks, puppets, and all kinds of decorations inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead tradition. Two sessions will run each day at 1:30 pm and 4 pm, for 20 children each time. In between, they can let off steam smashing a giant piñata filled with candy and surprises from the centre’s shops. October 31: An evening to wake the dead!

No doubt about it, Mexicans have a truly innate sense of fiesta. Come see for yourself on Friday, October 31, from 7 pm to midnight, for a Day of the Dead spiced up with Mexican culinary specialties and cocktails by Spoon, all set to the beats of two DJs: My Name is Jojo and Juan Cuba. Don’t miss this Latin-flavored event evening, bringing a splash of color to the autumn gray — sign up now here.
