An imaginary friend is waiting for you outside the centre

You’ve probably noticed those large bronze and steel gold sculptures on the sidewalk in front of Confederation Centre? They’re the work of American artist Kaï, whose style blends street art and pop culture, drawing on imagery borrowed from cartoons and childhood. The recurring character in his work is this round-headed figure, an “imaginary friend” that the artist uses to convey messages and express his emotions.

Two works to contemplate until June 1st

The first sculpture, of which only three exist in the world, is titled “Love VS Money” and shows this little character being swept away by romantic feelings, were it not for money bringing him back down to earth. A few meters away stands another, even more monumental creation, over seven meters wide. “The Struggle” once again features Kaï’s signature figure, torn between the forces of good and evil.

Creativity in its original version

With this event exhibition, open to all and organized in collaboration with Bel-Air Fine Art gallery, Confederation Centre once again demonstrates its vocation as more than just a showcase for trends, but also a window onto all forms of contemporary artistic expression. You can also find Kaï’s work displayed in other galleries of the Bel-Air Fine Art network across Europe, including Paris, Courchevel, and Geneva.
